Error: An Item with the same key has already been added.

If you are having trouble importing items with AA codes and are getting the following message:

An Item with the same key has already been added.

Here are some things to check:

1. The AA Dimension exists

2. The AA Code exists

3. The AA Dimension's class is linked to the GL Account from the same distribution

4. The current user does not have permissions to use the AA code

 

Another reason this message could happen is if the exchange rate date is not setup as a spot rate in GP.

 

If it is not one of the obvious issues, you can debug it by running the connector with the SQL Profiler on, find the exact call that is failing, grab the error codes from it, and plug those error codes into a query like so:

select * from DYNAMICS..taErrorCode where errorcode in (483,7770) -- 483 and 7770 are the error codes returned from running taGLTransactionLineInsert

    I also had this error with a user who had a GBP company setup (base currency was GBP) and they did not have USD setup. The Concur expense report was in USD. They had some transactions that were allocated.
